DTN COMMENTS:
Comments: It was a busy afternoon for the fed cash cattle market as shortly
after the days noon hour trade began to develop and prices were notably
higher than last weeks weighted average. For the most part Northern
dressed cattle have been marked at $370 which is $3.00 higher than last
weeks weighted average, but a few sales have been as high as $372.
Southern live cattle have traded at mostly $235 which is $2.00 higher
than last weeks weighted average, but a few sales in Iowa were marked
as high as $238 to $240.
NOTE: Feedlots are encouraged to email DTN with any cattle sales at
ShayLe.Stewart@dtn.com. All sales will be listed anonymously and organized by
state. All live sales are FOB and set for 1-9-day delivery. A weekly summary
from this data will be posted on the Weekly Cattle Sales Reported to DTN page
and will be left up for the entire week for reference purposes.

Bids are on the table, and trade is likely to cut loose at any moment now.
There was a light trade on Wednesday at $370 in Nebraska (which is $3.00
higher than last weeks weighted average) but otherwise no new trade has
developed. Asking prices are firm in the South at $235.
