DTN COMMENTS:  A few bids are now on the table in parts of Kansas, but 
they are being passed. Asking prices are still not fully established. 
Packer inquiries should continue to improve throughout the day, but it is 
possible that significant trade volume could be delayed until Friday. 

Beef cutouts are lower at midday (choice 392.49 -2.23, select 387.33 -
1.96) with rather light box movement (44.54 lds of choice cuts, 5.37 lds 
of select cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 6.79 lds of ground). Both live and 
feeder cattle futures are mixed near the top of the noon hour.
